Ultrasound Program

Our center was blessed with the gift of an ultrasound sound machine. A crisis pregnancy center in Virginia voted to donate their current machine to AA&WC because their center had been given another machine. On June 17th Lynne Barnett drove staff to Pulaski , VA to pick up the machine. Their volunteer’s and staff were so excited to see how they could help us. Everyone gathered outside around the machine and prayed for God to use it in mighty ways. We prayed that when a young lady sees her baby on screen it will make the difference between life and death. Our new equipment will not only print out the pictures of the sonogram but, it will also video the baby. This was such a huge gift from God!!! Even a used machine is very expensive but, once again God reminded us that He owns it all. If He wants it done it will happen. Please pray as we complete three steps in order for our center to convert to a medical center. The ultrasound will be used for ladies to determine pregnancy whom are not yet receiving pre-natal care. The center will be faced with a greater financial need because of this program ,but who can put a price on a life? I pray God will show you how your family can help. We have several nurses who have agreed to volunteer their time to be trained on sonography and provide their ongoing services. The nurses have completed their first part of their training which was for 3 days and it was $650.00 per person plus transportation and lodging. The second training performing ultrasounds under the supervision of a sonograher. Each nurse must complete 50- 70 ultrasounds before they are allowed to render their services. All of this will be done under Dr. Green and Dr. Gilberts Direction. Ultrasounds are to determine pregnancy and to measure how far long.
